My Work for Movies.com

This is the archive of my work for Movies.com, including my various opinion and review pieces, my entire series of Countdown pieces for The Dark Knight Rises (including my review of the film), and my current regular piece, The Geek Beat (out weekly on Tuesdays).

I started writing for Movies.com (or “MDC” for short) in May of 2011, when they contacted Bill Ramey of Batman-On-Film asking for a “Batman guy.” Bill graciously passed the opportunity along to me, which turned into a bi-weekly article called The Dark Knight Rises Countdown, a news roundup/editorial about the world of Batman and the film. I’ve been writing for them ever since on a multitude of geeky movie topics.

In the summer of 2011, they sent me to Pittsburgh to visit the set of The Dark Knight Rises. When the film was released, I wrote a set report and was soon tapped to write my now-regular weekly piece The Geek Beat.

I was also fortunate enough to be chosen to write a Countdown article for Star Trek Into Darkness between December of 2012 and May of 2013. I really love being a part of the site, and am very grateful for the opportunities I’ve gained because of it.
